AS usual, another busy weekend in this City. The visits were alright. Nice in a few cases, and crappy in others. Nothing new there, I guess.

Euphie? Have you had anyone look at your hand since I cleaned it up? I think your sister would come back here and kill me if I let it get infected or anything...

[Gentle is fine by her and when the kiss breaks she snuggles in closer. Smiling against him.] I have a boyfriend.

[Tucks her in close to his chest, loosely hugging her]

Yep, you do.

It is better to talk about these things. [Haaaaaaaaaaappy.] Umi's a little protective of you, isn't she?

[That just makes Ken chuckle again]

That's putting it mildly. She's... family to me. We've been through a lot.

I'm glad. You need some protection I think. [Teasing a little, but she is glad.]

I like Umi. I like her more when she isn't talking about hurting my sister though. [Playing with Ken's hand a little. Just touching him. Exploring lightly.]

[He turns his hand over, letting her touch as she wants. There's not hesitation about the scars on his palm.]

She's a handful, isn't she?

[Runs the tip of her finger over one carefully.] She's a little surprising at times.

I hope Cornelia wasn't too hostile though. She's very protective too. And after... Well, I haven't seen her since I was home except for this weekend.

[His fingers absently flex at the touch, showing how well sensitive his hands are.]

I don't think she cares much for me. Seems like she doesn't care much for anyone that doesn't fit her ideals, though.

She's... Not very trusting. [She presses her smaller palm against his.] I'll just have to like you twice as much to make up for it.

[His fingers curled up between hers]

It's obvious how much she cares about you.

She's always taken care of me. It's so strange not having her here even if I know it would make some things harder.

Well.. I think she pretty much ordered me to do that since she's not able to be here. At least, that's how I took it.

[Giggles a little] She's used to giving orders.

And if she said something like that to you then it can't be too bad or she wouldn't have wanted you near me at all.

[Smiles faintly]

Oh, I think that was her plan, but in the end, she saw it my way.

You must have been very convincing. [Kisses his cheek in thanks.]

I had to be. She's kinda scary.

[Smiles] Not always. She's just always been the strong one.

[Chuckles and moves to stand, tugging her hand]

Seems like you're pretty strong, too.

[She moves with him easily.] Not like the rest of my family. [Well, not ALL of them, but not like Cornelia or Schneizel or Lelouch.]

There are many different kinds of strength, Euphie. Not all of it is about fighting.

[Pads off to the living room, pausing without thinking to look down at the face down picture.]

Hiding away from memories really doesn't work, does it?

[She nods. It's something she knows. It's something she'd say to someone else. Internalizing it for herself on the other hand was harder to do.]

[When he looks at the picture, she follows his gaze and then squeezes his hand a little.] No. [She's tried after all.] Is it of Mamoru?

[After a long, silent moment, he reaches to pick the frame up, flipping it over to show Euphie. It's a picture of him and the rest of Weiss in happier times in their flower shop.]

He was Omi back then.

[Smiles at the picture.] You look happy. [Likes seeing you that way.]

Is he the one you have your arm around? [She never actually met him. Heard his voice a couple of times maybe.]

[Nods a little, a tiny smile gracing his lips]

Yeah. The blond is Yohji, the pervert, and the redhead is Aya. Yohji loved the ladies. In fact, he wouldn't take a mission unless it had to do with women in one way or another. Aya was the ice princess, or so everyone thought. He became an assassin to get revenge for his little sister, as well as pay for her medical treatments while she was in a coma. All in all, they were great guys. Aya's loosened up a lot since we ended up in England.

[Smiles, looking over the picture and then back to Ken.] They sound like good people. I wish I could meet them. [Not even blinking at the fact they are all assassins.]

Did Aya's sister ever come out of her coma?
