Okay, that... kinda sucked. Still kinda sucks. Hey Aya, d'you mind taking care of Bandit for a couple days?

[police filer]
Dean... don't shine lights in my eyes again. They're still there, you jerk. Not as bright as last night, though. Where did Sorrow end up?

Justin... you okay? Oh, and tell Beckett that I'm behaving in here. I don't want to be yelled at. My head hurts way too much for that.

Ken? What's wrong?

I think m'head's gonna fall off.

... a little hurt. Had to take Sorrow in last night. He didn't want to go.

Is someone looking after you? Can I help?

'm in the hospital, so they're taking care of me.

The hospital... [If he went there it must be bad.] Can I come see you?

If you want.

I do want. [Worried, clearly!] I'll be there soon, okay? Is there anything you want me to bring you? [Outside of the flowers she'll be getting of course.]

Mmmm... not that I can think of, but thinking kinda hurts right now.

Then don't do it. I'll see you soon.

[And she does arrive after a stop at Ken's flower shop to pick up what she hopes will be a cheerful bouquet. She stands at the door, giving it a little knock.]

[There's a muffled response from behind the door and when she comes in, she'll see a dozing Ken sporting a few bruises and a bandaged shoulder.]

[She steps inside after a moment and sees him sleeping. Quietly, she walks closer to set the flowers down on the table. She doesn't want to wake him. He did sound tired before.]

[It takes a moment before he cracks his eyes open, smiling a little when he saw who it was. Have a wave with his good arm, Euphie.]

Hey.

Ah, I didn't mean to wake you. [But she smiles at him even with the concern in her expression.]

Mmm. It's okay. I've been kinda in and out since they let me actually sleep.

[Still smiling, he closes his eyes once again, even if he's still awake.]

[She moves closer to touch that good hand of his lightly.] You get injured far too often.

[His smile softens a little]

It's kinda the nature of the job.

Just as long as you get better again. [Tiny hand squeeze!]

[He squeezes back]

I always do. Always will, too.

Always is a long time. I accept your terms. [Smiles]

[Chuckling, he shakes his head a tiny bit]

I'll do my best.

I know you will.

I'm proud of you.

[That made him open his eyes again, watching her with glassy eyes.]

.. thank you.

[She leans in to give him a soft kiss on the forehead unless he objects of course.]
