Okay, I have no idea what the hell is going on, but this shit isn't funny!

It can't be more than a day. It just CAN'T...

[Umi herself is a bit worse for wear. Of all times to be missing her magic... But it doesn't matter. Strength in numbers. She trusts they'll be alright. When they make it to a place that looks remotely away from danger they may well ask Fuu to take care of their wounds.]

We should try to see if we can help the others.

Umi, I'm not sure that's a good idea. If this is a long standing curse, we might not be able to trust anyone else.

But--! There have to be people somewhere who're also trying to do their best not to play along! Defenseless people. What if they need us?

[Not doing something for them would mean buying into the Every Man and Woman For Themselves deal, the same Umi detests. She grips her rapier, glad that she's been able to have her weapon of choice at hand, and stands her ground.]

No. If they come to use looking for help, then maybe, but I'll kill anyone I see as a threat.

Um. What are the odds of the two of us making it there and returning without too much of a mess? [Fuu can hold her ground with her wind magic, after all. And she'll be better at shielding anyone in need of help with it while they make it back.]

[Having flinched and turned sharply toward the sound, Umi now winces at the outcome, eyes growing darker. She hates this situation. These people are cursed... Still... it's either this or get killed.]

[Umi herself can't put such distance between the situation and reality. If she can spare the ones she has to attack to defend herself and her friends, she will. For now she's eager to set off. It'll give her the feeling she's at least doing something.]
